The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Gibault Catholic High School golfer Zach Heet.

The senior birdied the final hole last Thursday to win top individual honors in the Monroe County Golf Tournament at Annbriar by a single stroke with a one under par 35.

Heet was selected as the 2016 Metro East Golf Coaches Class 1A Player of the Year following his junior season.
