Wilma W. Linker | Obituary
Wilma W. Linker (nee Luhr) 95, of Waterloo, died March 15, 2016, in St. Louis.
She was born April 30, 1920, near Valmeyer, daughter of the late William and Frieda Luhr (nee Schmidt).
Wilma was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Waterloo, and the Women’s Guild, as well as a Charter member of Bell Choir. She was also a member of Waterloo Quadrilles Square Dance Club and Monroe County Home Community Extension.
She was also a longtime Girl Scout leader, avid bicyclist and card player.
She is survived by her children, Rodney (Kathy) Linker, Floy (Charles) Pease, and Kristine (Thomas) Stork; grandchildren Amanda (Michael) Esposito, Melissa (Eric) Lonn, Matthew (Sarah) Linker, Ben (Tia) Pease, Emily (Dan) McKenzie, Ethan Stork and Eliana Stork; great-grandsons Isaac Linker and Isaiah Lonn; and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene W. Linker; parents; and brothers Eugene and Alois Luhr.
A memorial visitation will be March 31, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home, and April 1, from 9 to 10 a.m., at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Waterloo.
A memorial service will be April 1, at 10 a.m., at the church, Pastor Merlyn Lawrence officiating.
Interment will follow at Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia.
