Wilma Arlou Knowles | Obituary

Wilma Arlou (nee Bange) Knowles, 85, died July 22, 2013, in Town & Country, Mo.

She was born January 26, 1928, in Waterloo, to the late Edmund and Louisa (nee Dillenberger) Bange.

She was married to Harold Knowles; he survives her.

Mrs. Knowles grew up on her family’s farm and later attended Sanford Brown Business School in St. Louis, where she met her husband.

They were married on Sept. 18, 1948, and had two daughters.

Survivors include her husband; daughters Joan Baur (Gary) and Linda Halstead (Craig); grandchildren Jay Baur (Janelle), April Klimkiewicz (Jason), Mark Baur (Kathryn), Anthony Halstead (Samantha) and Casey Halstead (Taylor); and seven great-grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister Edlin Gerber and her twin sister, Wilda Siders.

A memorial service will take place Aug. 18, at 2:30 p.m., at the United Methodist Church of Green Trails, 14237 Ladue Rd., Chesterfield, Mo.

Memorials may be made to the church or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
