The Waterloo High School cheerleading squad attended the NCA Ultimate Speed Camp held June 24-26 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Shiloh, receiving instruction from current and former college cheerleaders as well as Team USA. A total of 13 WHS cheerleaders made All-American status at camp, showcasing a cheer they learned with three connected jumps and a stunt or tumbling pass executed to a certain standard with a level of difficulty. WHS cheerleader Brandon Schad was chosen as Top All-American by the camp staff. Schad was selected out of all the campers that attended (eight teams). And for these reasons, the WHS cheer team is this week’s Republic-Times Team of the Week
