WHS boys bowling off to a hot start

The Waterloo boys bowling team opened their season in impressive fashion as Hayden Bode rolled a 300 game and teammate Mike McGarry carried his own perfect game into the 11th frame before leaving one pin standing and finishing with a 289.

Bowling at Camelot Bowl in the varsity boys Collinsville Kahok Tournament, the WHS team came in 12th out of 30 teams, and Bode carding the tourney’s high game score.

Other results include:

• McGarry, seventh overall; Bode, 11th overall.

• High scores shot by individuals include Matthew Goessling, 192; Joe Baldwin, 211; Zack Reichert, 204 and 211; Andrew Reifschneider, 230 and 215; Michael McGarry, 211, 215, 221 and 289; and Hayden Bode 205, 245 and 300.

The boys continue their season Thursday at Triad. The girls open their season Nov. 30, in the varsity girls Collinsville Kahok Tournament.
