Cari Wetzel of Garner, N.C.,  and Alan Braswell of Clayton, N.C., announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of David and Rita Wetzel of  Waterloo. She is a graduate of Waterloo High School and  McKendree University with a master’s degree. She is employed as a fourth grade teacher.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Wayne Braswell and Debra Rigsbee of Garner, N.C. He is a graduate of  Garner Senior High School and is employed as a Pepsi-Cola salesman.

The couple had a May wedding.
