Wendell Ray Buchholz 

Wendell Ray “Buck” Buchholz, 72, of West Paducah, Ky., died Dec. 29, 2012, at his son’s home in Mayfield, Ky.

Mr. Buchholz was a native of Murphysboro, and lived for many years in Waterloo. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a Christian, an avid outdoorsman and was retired from the P&L Railroad.

Survivors include his sons Terry Buchholz and his wife Jeannie of Mayfield, Ky., son Mike Ivy of Murfreesboro, Tenn., daughter Tammy Lunini of Alexandria, Va., daughter Kim Ivy of Paducah, Ky., and daughter Stacey Jones and her husband Rob of Hartford, Ky.; his mother, Ruby Epplin, of Murphysboro; sisters Ann White of Murphysboro, Kay Miller of Danville, Margie Pruitt of Indianhead, Md., Cora Lee Weiss of Burbank, Calif., and Louise Panko of Chambersburg, Pa.; four grandsons, Taylor, Tyler, Zachary and Matt; and four granddaughters, Sarah, Katelyn, Sarah and Megan; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Jo Buchholz; son Scott Ivy; and his father, Fred Buchholz.

Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 12, after 11 a.m., at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, Ky.

A memorial service is scheduled for Jan. 12, at 1 p.m., at the funeral home, with Rev. Wayne Carter officiating.
