Waterloo High School graduates its Class of 2013

WHS Class of 2013 valedictorian Riley Minnaert.

Waterloo High School held its 118th commencement service in the gym on Sunday, May 26, awarding diplomas to 215 members of the Class of 2013.

Class valedictorian was Riley Minnaert; salutatorians were Jodi Kaiping and Sarah Lepp.

In a touching tribute, deceased classmate Mikayla Lynn Hoefft was honored during commencement. The class wore purple ribbons and armbands in Hoefft’s honor, and also presented the Hoefft family with flowers during the service.

Hoefft died from injuries sustained in a car crash on Aug. 12, 2011.
