Waterloo Boys Track | Team of the Week

The Waterloo High School boys track team is this week’s Republic-Times Team of the Week.

The team sent six members to the IHSA Class 2A state meet in Charleston earlier this month, returning home with two medals and narrowly missing a third.

Lance Mueller ended his illustrious WHS track and cross country career with a third place finish in the 1,600 meter run final.

After setting a school record to advance to the final, Greysan Moehrs placed sixth overall in the 110 meter hurdles final.

Cole Rodenberg just missed a state medal with an 11th place finish in the 3,200 meter run.

Waterloo’s 4×800 relay team of Noah Hays, Jake Schwartz, Blake Rusteberg and Will Zeisset just missed qualifying for the state final by four seconds.
