The obvious choice for Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Waterloo High School soccer team, which defeated Carmel Mundelein and Peoria Notre Dame in Hoffman Estates over the weekend to win the Class 2A state title.

The Bulldogs finished the season with a record of 25-3-1.
