Emergency personnel responded shortly after 9:15 p.m. Saturday after a truck struck a utility pole on HH Road at Gall Road in Waterloo.

Police said a 16-year-old female driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling west on HH Road at a sharp curve and was traveling too fast and lost control, striking the pole. Neither the driver nor her 17-year-old female passenger required medical transport from the scene.

Responding agencies included the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Waterloo Fire Department and Monroe County EMS.
