The Valmeyer Fire Department was requested by Monroe County Sheriff’s Department deputies shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday to assist in a search at a crash site. A vehicle was found in the creek near 1651 Route 156 between new and old Valmeyer, per emergency radio dispatch.

Police eventually tracked down the driver of the vehicle and determined that he did not require medical transport.
