The Waterloo and Red Bud fire departments responded shortly after 2:30 p.m. Friday to a fully engulfed vehicle hauler in the 4800 block of Route 3 near LL Road in southern Monroe County.

Heavy smoke could be seen from a distance during the incident, which resulted in Route 3 being closed to traffic from LL Road to Crook Road. Two SUVs at the rear of the trailer hauled by a semi sustained the most damage.
