The Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Valmeyer Lakers of the Mon-Clair League. The defending league champions are off to a 13-3 start to the 2024 baseball campaign entering this weekend’s Midsummer Classic at Borsch Park. The Lakers won both games of a Saturday doubleheader at home over Millstadt.
