Wednesday crash in Waterloo

The Waterloo police and fire departments and Monroe County EMS responded just before 12:55 p.m. Wednesday to a two-vehicle crash in the 900 block of Park Street (Route 156) in Waterloo, located just east of the Monroe County Fairgrounds.

The vehicles involved were a white Ford Edge and a dark red Ford Mustang.

WFD personnel extricated the driver of the Edge from the vehicle.

Police said a 2014 Ford Mustang driven by Ronny S. Singleton, 70, of Columbia, was traveling west on Park Street when the vehicle left its lane of traffic and struck an oncoming eastbound 2014 Ford Edge driven by Denise G. Eichelman, 66, of Waterloo.

Eichelman was transported by ambulance to a St. Louis hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
