Two-vehicle crash in Columbia

Route 3 southbound was closed to traffic as Columbia police and fire handled a two-vehicle crash at Southwoods Drive just outside of Moto Mart around 7:30 p.m Wednesday. The vehicles involved were a Dodge Saturn and a Jeep, which overturned as a result of the collision. Police said the Saturn, driven by Terry Geist, 37, of Columbia, turned from Southwoods in front of the Jeep, driven by Robert Kirk, 64, of Columbia, which was traveling south on Route 3.

Traffic was diverted onto Main Street until crews could clear the crash scene. None of those involved required medical transport, although Kirk suffered a minor finger injury.
