Two Smithton men were injured in an early Friday evening crash on Floraville Road in rural St. Clair County.

A 2014 Kia Soul driven by Joshua C. Fournie, 24, of Smithton, was traveling south on Floraville Road at about 6:20 p.m. when a 2017 Ford F-150 driven by Travis W. Skiles, 23, of Smithton, that was traveling eastbound on Waterloo Road approaching Floraville Road proceeded through the intersection without yielding, resulting in a collision, according to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department.

The Kia rolled and came to a rest on its roof on Klein Road, police said. Both drivers were transported to Belleville Memorial Hospital with unspecified injuries.

Skiles was cited for failure to yield to avoid an accident.
