Multiple injuries in Waterloo crash

Emergency personnel responded shortly before 9:20 a.m. Tuesday to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 3 and South Library Street in Waterloo, which resulted in three people transported to area hospitals.

Responding agencies included the Waterloo Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Waterloo Fire Department, Monroe County EMS and Columbia EMS.

Waterloo police said a 2016 Chevrolet Impala driven by Talisha M. Bonner, 28, of East St. Louis, pulled out from Library Street in front of a 2017 Buick Enclave driven by Floyd A. Roy, 75, of Prairie du Rocher, which was traveling north on Route 3.

Bonner, who was cited for failure to yield, was transported to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Both of the Roys were transported to Red Bud Regional Hospital.
