Waterloo police received several reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles at the north end of town over the weekend. The main area of Waterloo hit by this latest rash of thefts is the Northwinds subdivision.

At least 10 vehicles were entered, Waterloo Police Chief Jim Trantham said.

“We encourage everyone to lock their vehicles and keep valuables out of sight or not in the vehicle,” Trantham said. “We are asking that if anyone sees suspicious activity, please call 939-8651 to report it to the dispatcher.”
