The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Southwestern Illinois College softball player Taylor Kaufmann of Waterloo. The sophomore hit .316 with three home runs, 12 RBIs and 11 runs in 10 games this spring for SWIC, which finished with an overall season record of 2-8.
