Allen and Deanna Champion announce the birth of their daughter, Sophia Marie.

She was born Oct. 20, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital, St. Louis. She weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 19 inches long.

She was welcomed to the family by her step-sister, Ciara Champion, and step-brother, Jacob Champion.

Her maternal grandparents are Joyce and Clyde Heller of Waterloo.

Paternal grandmother is Wendy Champion of Granite City.
