A popular local event, the annual Fults mens softball tournament will be played this year after all. The Hi-Way Motor Company softball team has decided to host this year’s event Friday through Sunday, Sept. 11-13, at scenic Cedar Bluff Park.

The cost is $200 to enter a team in the double-elimination tournament, with a $900 payout to the first place team and subsequent payouts for second through sixth place. There will be food and $1 drafts available all weekend.

The tourney had been played every year since 1999, but the original organizers had recently decided against continuing the tradition this summer.
