About 10 minutes later, a vehicle drove into a ravine on Route 156 near Old Baum Church Road and Mystic Lane. The vehicle, a white car, had significant wheel damage. An injury was initially reported, but no medical transport was required.

Fewer than five minutes after that, a third crash was called in. At Gall Road and HH Road, a vehicle struck a guardrail. There were no injuries.

Shortly before 4 p.m., another injury crash was reported in the area of Waterloo Road and Floraville Road in rural St. Clair County. Hecker Fire Department personnel responded. The initial report indicated that a Corvette was on its side.

Columbia police responded to a minor two-vehicle crash on Temple Street just before 5 p.m. No injuries were reported.

The crashes occurred following a brief rain shower that created slippery conditions on area streets and highways.
