A Waterloo man was charged this week with sex crimes following a recent incident.

Travis W. Turner, 47, faces four counts of sexual assault/force, which is a Class 1 felony. He remains in the Monroe County Jail with bond set at $125,000.

Court information alleges that Turner committed the unlawful sex acts with a woman on Jan. 29. Police said the alleged incident took place at a residence in the 700 block of Mahala Drive, and that Turner and the woman were acquaintances.

The Waterloo Police Department investigated the case.
