Police, fire and emergency personnel responded about 6:30 a.m. Friday to a crash involving an overturned semi in the rain on Interstate 255 near Dupo.

The southbound semi rolled on its side on the ramp between Route 3 and the interstate, police said. Illinois State Police said there was a downpour at the time and the driver of the truck was driving too fast for conditions.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment, police said.
