Schools closed for fourth straight day

Thursday’s early morning snow brought early phone calls to parents that school was closed. For the fourth straight day, school was called off for ALL schools in the area, due to the dusting that was added to the inches of snow that the area already experienced earlier in the week.

According to St. Louis area news stations, the snow is supposed to turn into a slushy rain sometime this morning and continue to fall until this afternoon. Once the slushy rain hits the ground, it is expected to freeze and cause additional problems on the road. There is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until noon today.
