Schillings | 50th Anniversary

Gerry and Ronnie Schilling

Gerry and Ronnie Schilling of Waterloo recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner at the Acorns Golf Links clubhouse.

Geraldine Doerr, daughter of the late William and Genevieve Doerr, and Ronald Schilling, son of the late Jerome and Elizabeth Schilling, were married May 25, 1963, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia, by Msgr. Elmer Holtgrave.

They have four children: Donna (Mike) Olson, Diane (Dan Dragues) Schilling, Daniel (Kelly) Schilling, and Darryl (Laura) Schilling. There are eight grandchildren: Courtney, Carley, Connor, Kyle, Karleigh, Kole, Ethan and Tate.

Ronnie is an owner-manager at Superior Express; Gerry recently retired after 25 years with H&R Block.


Tammy Taylor

Tammy is an award-winning Graphic Artist for the Republic-Times. She has worked at the newspaper for almost 15 years, while her and her husband Norman, of 34 years, are owners of Sunderman's Garage in Columbia. She enjoys photography and her five grandchildren.
