Santa Float set to make annual run
The Santa Float will again be distributing gift bags to the young children of Waterloo this Christmas season, visiting neighborhoods during the evenings of Dec. 17-24.
Sponsors of this annual tradition are the Waterloo German Band, city of Waterloo, Waterloo Chamber of Commerce and Sister Cities PortaLoo.
Plans are underway for the much-loved Santa Float to travel through Waterloo’s residential areas, playing Christmas music and delivering gifts to children.
Monetary donations are being accepted to purchase items for the goodie bags, which are distributed to all who view the float. A total of 3,000 bags are assembled by the Waterloo High School SHOW Club.
Donations are appreciated and are tax deductible. Send donations to Luanne Ragland c/o Sister Cities PortaLoo, 19 Victor Street, Waterloo, IL 62298.
Make checks payable to Sister Cities PortaLoo.
