The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Waterloo High School softball standout Samantha Juelfs. The junior-to-be played shortstop for the Class 3A state fourth place Bulldogs this spring and led the team in hitting with a .407 average to go along with 15 doubles, 26 RBIs and 32 runs scored.
