The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Valmeyer High School boys basketball player Ryan Unterseh, who scored 36 points total in two games last week, including 21 in a loss to Wood River on Saturday and 15 in a win at Marissa last Friday.

In the Marissa game, Unterseh made a half-court buzzer beater to end the first quarter.

Way to go Ryan, keep up the good work!
