The Republic-Times Team of the Week is soccer standout Ryan Stites of Waterloo. The Waterloo High School graduate was recently named MVP of the Truman State University men’s soccer team during a sports banquet. Stites, who graduated from WHS in 2017 and was a member of the school’s 2015-16 state championship squad, was also nominated for the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship award for the Great Lakes Valley Conference. He is a center midfielder at Truman State.
