The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that lane restrictions will be encountered on eastbound and westbound Route 156 from Route 159 to Route 13 between Hecker and New Athens in St. Clair County beginning on Monday, Oct. 26, weather permitting.

These lane reductions are needed to complete pavement repairs and resurfacing, IDOT said.

Flaggers will be utilized to move traffic through the work zone. Work on the project will be completed by Spring 2016.

The contractor on this project is The Killian Corporation of Mascoutah.
