Robert A. “Bob” Huch, 85, of Waterloo, died Jan. 7, 2024, in St. Louis. He was born March 26, 1938, in Belleville.

He is survived by his wife Mary (nee Schifferdecker) Huch, married July 26, 1975; sons Jason Huch and Jared Huch; stepchildren Kathy (Albert) Brewer, Gary (Paula) Eschmann, Barbara (Jeff) Eshing and Nancy (Mark) Henry; grandchildren Deanna (Brad) Roessler, Chad (Kristal) Brewer, Ryan (Stacey) Brewer, Corey (Becki) Brewer, Grant (Becky) Eschmann, Neil (Nikki) Eschmann, Greg (Caitlin) Boskamp, Tim Eshing, John (Amanda) Boskamp, Blake Henry, Logan Henry, Alaina Henry, Pyper Huch, Mia Huch and Landon Huch; great-grandchildren Colin Roessler, Olivia Roessler, Jordyn Brewer, Kadyn Brewer, Canyon Brewer, Brody Brewer, Brynlee Brewer, Harrison Boskamp, Niko Eschmann, Taylor Thorston, Kayla Thorston and Hailey Thorston; sisters Jean (Dick) Baker and Diane (Steven) Pena; sisters-in-law Ramona Eschmann and Marie Schifferdecker; brother-in-law Terrence (Sandy) Schifferdecker; nieces; nephews; other family members; and friends

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Archie and Willevra (nee Dillenberger) Huch; father-in-law and mother-in-law Herbert and Caroline (nee Schicker) Schifferdecker; sister-in-law Margie (nee Schifferdecker) Doering; brothers-in-law Don Walker, Tom Doering, Steven Eschmann and George Schifferdecker; and nephew Josh Glessner.

Visitation is 4 p.m. until time of service Jan. 13 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

A memorial service will be follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Matt Friz officiating.

Interment will be at Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Waterloo at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to: the Waterloo FFA; or Alzheimer’s Association.
