Road rage incident in Columbia

Local police dealt with a road rage incident Tuesday that started in Columbia and ended in Waterloo.

Columbia police said the incident began on Route 3 at South Main Street in its venue and resulted in a traffic stop on North Moore Street at Station Crossing off Route 3 in Waterloo.

A Columbia police officer went to the area where the vehicles were stopped by Waterloo police, but neither of the two male drivers wished to file charges.

Police said one of the drivers did grab a hatchet from inside his vehicle for protection, but it was not used in the incident.
