Residential burglary in Columbia

Police are investigating a residential burglary that was reported Thursday evening in Columbia.

At about 6:30 p.m., a homeowner in the 400 block of East Cherry Street reported that his laptop computer, credit cards and other items were missing from his residence.

There were no signs of forced entry to the home, police said.
