The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Waterloo Junior High School golf standout Reese Kite. At the Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association Girls State Golf Tournament at Rend Lake Golf Course on May 11, Kite shot a 71 to become the state champion by nine strokes.
