Randy L. Sneed | Obituary

Randy Lynn Sneed, 66, of Waterloo, died Aug. 6, 2024, at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis.

He was born to the late Russell and Necie (nee Hicks) Sneed on April 23, 1958, in Kennett, Mo.

Randy, fondly known as Daddy, was a kind-hearted man. Daddy had a heart-warming smile and such kind eyes. He held many titles, but his favorite titles were Daddy and Papa Randy. He loved his family with his whole heart and enjoyed spoiling his grandkids.

He loved nature and spending time outdoors. He was the very best fishing buddy. Daddy enjoyed himself hot fudge sundaes frequently, if not at the side of every meal. He told us he needed something sweet so he wouldn’t get bored eating. He always had able hands to help volunteer with his granddaughter’s Girl Scout troops. Randy was a spiritual man who loved God and had attended Red Bud Church of Christ.

In his earlier years, he worked at General Motors as a welder and later at Walmart in Waterloo.

He is survived by his children Tammara Sneed of Prairie du Rocher, Tiffany (Thomas) Davis of Waterloo, Tara Sneed of Ruma, Travis Sneed of Waterloo and Jeremiah Madden of St. Louis; grandchildren Natasha Warren, Ivy Davis, Cailin Davis, Ravyn Freestone, Brian Freestone, Lainey Davis, Shayla Miller, Lorraine Sneed, Edith Laub and Adalaide Laub; siblings Evaughn (John) McBride of Red Bud, Sherman (Angie) Sneed of Red Bud and Patty Sneed of Red Bud; mother of his children Eva Madden of Waterloo; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, nephew Josh Zipfel and cousin Jeremy Hicks.

It was Randy’s wishes to be cremated.

A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 17 at Pechacek Funeral Home, Red Bud.

Memorials may be made to family choice.
