The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Andy Galle of the Waterloo Millers.

The veteran pitcher led the Millers with a 4-1 record and 3.36 ERA during the regular season. Galle capped off his impressive summer with 4-0 shutout victory over Valmeyer in the Mon-Clair playoffs at Fairview Heights last Saturday.

Corey is the editor of the Republic-Times. He has worked at the newspaper since 2004, and currently resides in Columbia. He is also the principal singer-songwriter and plays guitar in St. Louis area country-rock band The Trophy Mules.
