Prison for Waterloo man on meth charges
A Waterloo man was sentenced last week to five years and 10 months in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of meth.
United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois Stephen Wigginton said Shawn Buckley, 32, received his 70-month sentence for offenses which occurred in St. Clair County and in St. Louis. Buckley entered a guilty plea to those offenses on Aug. 20.
Following release from prison, Buckley will serve a four-year term of supervised release. Buckley was also ordered to pay a $200 fine and a $200 special assessment. Buckley has been in custody since his arraignment on Sept. 25, 2013.
Evidence in support of this prosecution was obtained in an investigation which was conducted under the auspices of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force.

Agencies participating in this case include the Drug Enforcement Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigations, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and U.S. Marshal Service.
