The Columbia Volunteer Fire Department responded about 7:30 a.m. Thursday to an Ameren power box on fire in the Southwoods Center area. The fire was limited to the box, but all businesses in Southwoods Center were affected.

Ameren dispatched a crew to the scene to rectify the situation.

Some businesses in the area had half power while others were completely without.
