Popular Waterloo Walmart greeter passes away

The Waterloo Walmart sadly announces the passing of longtime greeter John Petraitis of Cahokia, who died yesterday at the age of 68. He had been employed at Walmart since 2005, and will be remembered for his trademark “Welcome to Walmart” greeting to all customers who passed by.

Visitation is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Kassly Mortuary in Fairview Heights, with the funeral to follow at 1:30 p.m. Click the link below for more info.
