Columbia Police

March 8

Samuel N. Berry, 26, of St. Louis, was arrested for an in-state warrant on I-255 northbound.

March 9

Bradley D. Clay, 41, of St. Louis, was arrested for DUI, no insurance, violating the minimum speed and no seat belt on I-255 westbound.

Cornell A. Wren, 30, of East St. Louis, was arrested for domestic battery, interference with the reporting of domestic violence and fleeing/eluding police. The incident occurred in the 600 block of Bridgeview Drive, but Wren was taken into custody in Washington Park.

Kelly Fischer, 36, of Columbia, was arrested for domestic battery in the 100 block of W. Legion Street. Also arrested in the incident was Ronald Fischer, 40, of Columbia, for interference with the reporting of domestic violence.

March 14

Police are seeking information following the report of three vehicle break-ins and a car stolen overnight. The stolen car is a white 2004 Ford Taurus. The unlocked car was parked in the 2600 block of Elmwood Court with its keys left in the ignition. Three unlocked vehicles on Columbia Lakes Drive, located near the site of where the car was stolen, were also entered with loose change and other easily accessible items stolen from inside. The alleged crimes took place sometime between 10:45 p.m. March 13 and  7:30 a.m. March 14. Anyone who may have observed suspicious activity in the area is asked to call 281-5151. Police remind residents to lock their vehicles at all times.

Monroe County Sheriff

March 6

The theft of $10,000 from a safe inside a home in the area of 6000 State Route 159 near Red Bud is under investigation.

Misty Coleman was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant on Konarcik Road.

Alexander Harres, 30, of Columbia, was arrested on a probation violation warrant.

March 8

James R. Ruland, 39, of Columbia, was arrested for domestic battery on Chesapeake Trail.

March 9

Timothy J. Arras, 26, Dupo, was arrested for possession of a firearm without FOID card on Parkview Drive in Columbia.

Devin Proffitt, 22, of Dupo, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.

Jasmine Davison, 24, of Cahokia, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.

March 11

Theresa Russo of Hecker was arrested on a Monroe County civil warrant on East Back Street in Hecker.

A vehicle damage complaint that occurred about 11:45 p.m. March 10 on Route 3 near LL Road is under investigation. The occupant of a southbound light-colored vehicle threw a bottle at another vehicle, causing damage. If anyone has information on the incident, call 939-8651.

A hit-and-run crash with property damage that occurred about 12:35 a.m. on Route 156 east of Valmeyer is under investigation. The suspect vehicle, believed to be a Buick Enclave, struck a row of six mailboxes. Call 939-8651 with information.

March 12

The report of a cabin broken into with damage to an ATV and furniture inside on Jacob Lane in Maeystown is under investigation.

Waterloo Police

March 13

Eric Brinkmann, 30, of Waterloo, was arrested on Fourth Street at South Library Street on a Monroe County warrant for failing to appear on a traffic violation.
