Columbia Police

Aug. 27
Kalup M. Huggins, 19, of St. Louis, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant and for driving while suspended and no insurance on Admiral Parkway north of Veterans Parkway.

Aug. 29
James B. Goodwin, 44, of Arnold, Mo., was arrested on an in-state warrant and for possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance and improper lighting on Route 3 southbound.

Spencer W. Banks, 24, of St. Louis, was arrested for felony possession of cannabis with intent to deliver (more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams), failure to wear seat belt, and an in-state-warrant on Route 3 at Sand Bank Road.

Aug. 31
A 36-year-old woman from Arnold, Mo., was arrested on a Monroe County warrant on Old State Route 3 at Columbia Lakes Drive.

Aug. 29
Ryan C. Mueller of Fults was not injured during a crash on Maeystown Road just south of KK Road around 5:30 a.m. Mueller was driving his 1994 Honda Accord northbound on Maeystown Road when he swerved to avoid a foam cooler in the roadway and the vehicle left the roadway, striking a ditch and overturning.

Aug. 30
Joseph Granger of St. Louis was arrested on a St. Louis County warrant.

A deputy assisted Monroe County Animal Control in checking on the condition of a horse on KK Road in Burksville.

Aug. 31
Jill D. Anderson, 40, of Hecker, was cited for disobeying a stop following a crash involving a police car on South Market at West Fourth streets. Anderson was driving her Volkswagon Jetta northbound on South Market when she looked down toward her radio and ended up running a red light and veering into the middle of the intersection. A Mazda 3 driven by Richard D. Nebelsick of Waterloo was turning left from Fourth Street onto North Market and abruptly stopped to prevent a collision with Anderson’s car. This caused a Waterloo police car driven by Steven M. Martin to rear-end Nebelsick’s car. No injuries were reported.

David F. Schmidt, 43, of Waterloo, was arrested for DUI following a 10:30 p.m. crash on Covered Bridge Drive just south of Floraville Road. Schmidt’s northbound Ford F150 left the roadway, striking a large stone and a wooden roofed mailbox structure containing 28 mailboxes and newspaper holders, as well as a speed limit sign. No medical transport was required.

Waterloo Police

Aug. 29

Jesse R. Dill, 20, of Waterloo, was arrested for domestic battery at 1422 Rachael Lane.

Taylor Agne of Belleville was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly having left a child less than three months old in an unlocked, unoccupied car for more than five minutes in the Denny’s parking lot around 2:35 a.m.

Aug. 30
William E. Hurst, 45, of Waterloo, and a juvenile were each arrested for domestic battery at 122 Roosevelt.

Aug. 31
Justin Kent, 28, of St. Louis, was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol on Route 3 at Park Street.
