Police Blotter | 9/30/2015

Columbia Police
Sept. 23 – Shamyra G. McCalmon, 27, of Belleville, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant and for driving while license suspended, no insurance and suspended registration at 77 Veterans Parkway.
Sept. 24 – Multiple reports of thefts from unlocked motor vehicles are under investigation. The thefts occurred between 10:30 p.m. Sept. 23 and 6 a.m. Sept. 24. There were a total of six incidents reported — four in the Burroughs subdivision (Burroughs Court, Burroughs Road and East Ridge) and two in the Spring Terrace area near the American Legion. Anyone with information is asked to call 281-5151.
Sept. 24 – Columbia police responded to two separate morning crashes, neither of which resulted in injury. The first crash occurred about 5:30 a.m. on Route 3 at West Park Drive involving a Red-E-Mix tractor-trailer driven by Donald Means, 58, of Belleville, and a 2011 Chevy Cruze driven by Jacqueline Kostner, 41, of Waterloo. Police said Kostner turned onto Route 3 from West Park and struck the side of the Red-E-Mix truck. She was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The next crash occurred about 8 a.m. at the intersection of Legion and Main streets. A 2009 Nissan Rogue driven by Lyudmila Aksan, 46, of Columbia, struck the rear of a 2008 Honda Odyssey van driven by Brandy Nelson, 40, of Columbia. Aksan was cited for unlawfully wearing a headset while driving.
Sept. 25 – Amanda L. Hunt, 25, of St. Louis, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia on Hickory Lane at Briarhill Lane.
Sept. 27 – Mary E. McAnally, 23, of Imperial, Mo., was arrested for DUI and improper turn at 300 Columbia Centre.

Illinois State Police
Sept. 12 – Timothy A. Dycus, 49, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., was cited for obstructing a police officer on I-255.

Monroe County Sheriff
Sept. 22 – Cheyenne K. Delk of Madison was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.
Sept. 24 – Bailey Langhorst of Fults was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.
Sept. 25 – A residential burglary in the 5700 block of State Route 3 south of Waterloo is under investigation. Sliding glass doors were broken to gain entry to the home and a gun cabinet was broken into, but it was not yet known if anything was reported missing from the home.
Sept. 26 – A burglary to an unlocked shed in the 4700 block of JJ Road is under investigation. Tools, a beer sign, vehicle batteries and a green utility wagon were among the items believed stolen. The crime occurred between Sept. 18 and Sept. 26.

Waterloo Police
Sept. 16 – Donald J. Hosfeld, 24, of St. Louis, was cited for criminal trespass to property at the skate park on Library Street.
Sept. 23 – Lucas M. Hoffman, 29, and Taylor A. Payne, 24, both of Waterloo, were each arrested for retail theft at Walmart. They are alleged to have stolen a hand power tool and artist sketch pad from the store.
Sept. 26 – Steven Garrison, 36, of Cedar Hill, Mo., was arrested on a Greene County warrant and for speeding on Route 3 at GG Road.
