The impact with the pole caused wires to fall on the roadway. Barbara E. Wedemeyer, 59, of Baldwin, driving a 2005 Ford Edge, and Robert L. Holley, 74, of Steeleville, driving a 2013 Kia Soul, were both traveling eastbound. Wedemeyer’s vehicle struck the lines in the roadway and lost control, rolled on its side and into the westbound lane, where a 2015 Peterbuilt semi driven by Matthew S. Farris, 21, of Lebanon, stuck the Ford’s front end. The impact with the semi sent the Ford back into the eastbound lane, where it struck Holley’s car in the rear.
