Columbia Police
July 23
Daniel R. Hutson, 37, of Columbia, was arrested for theft in connection with a recent incident at Red Roof Liquor & Lottery, 301 Southport Drive.
Calvin A. Green, 35, of St. Louis, was arrested for unlawful use of electronic communications device, expired registration, speeding, no insurance and driving while license suspended on Route 3 at Carl Street.
July 25
A brief police pursuit occurred about 5 a.m. on I-255. An officer attempted to stop a black 2000 Honda Civic for traffic reasons. The car declined to stop and continued west on I-255 across the Jefferson Barracks Bridge into Missouri, at which point the pursuit was terminated. A short time later, police located the car at an apartment complex in South St. Louis County and had it towed back to Columbia for an investigation. Charges are pending.
July 26
Kathryn E. Giovanetti-Higgerson, 28, of Dupo, was arrested for domestic battery on Veterans Parkway at Evergreen Lane.
July 28
Monty L. Travis, 35, of East St. Louis, was arrested for an in-state warrant on Route 3 at Eagle Drive.
Millstadt Police
July 23
Shortly after 4 p.m., police responded to a residence on North Lafayette Street in reference to a vehicle wanted by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department in connection with a hit-and-run crash that occurred in a parking lot on Centreville Avenue in Belleville. Millstadt officers made contact with the suspect, who resisted arrest. Michael E. Ellis Jr., 42, of Millstadt, was charged with resisting a peace officer.
July 24
Shortly after 8:10 p.m., Hayden C. Stranc, 28, of Bluffdale, Utah, was cited for soliciting without a permit in the Stone Bridge Subdivision.
July 29
At 4:38 p.m., Samuel C. Trusty, 23, of Centreville, Utah, was cited for soliciting without a permit in the 700 block of West Harrison Street.
Monroe County Sheriff
July 22
Jonathan VanBuren of Red Bud, d/b/a Ralph’s Recycling, was cited for ordinance violations at 3968 Route 3 in Red Bud for failing to keep business storage and equipment inside a fenced area. The citation also noted the fence was “not maintained and falling apart.” VanBuren was also cited for failing to maintain ground coverings and for tall grass and weeds.
July 23
Brian W. Tevik, 40, of St. Louis, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant on Route 3 at Route 158.
July 25
Jessica D. Heath, 46, of Rockwood, was charged with bringing cannabis into a penal institution and possession of methamphetamine.
Amber M. Lemanski, 36, of Fayetteville, was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
July 26
Kenneth J. Henson, 23, of Caseyville, was arrested on a Glen Carbon Police Department warrant (meth possession) and for driving while license suspended on Route 3 at Rose Lane.
July 28
The Maeystown Fire Department assisted Monroe County EMS and sheriff’s department in responding shortly before 11 p.m. to a crash in the area of Maeystown Road at Baum Road near Maeystown Civic Association Park. Police said a 2007 Chevy HHR driven by Robert J. Conaway, 69, of Waterloo, came to rest partially submerged in a creek. The crash was reported by a passerby who saw the driver lying in the grass yelling for help. EMS evaluated the driver on scene and advised he is a diabetic and his blood sugar was low. Conaway was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County.
July 29
Scott A. Edwin, 55, of St. Louis, was charged with obstructing identification, driving without a license and operating a vehicle with suspended registration on Route 3 at Route 158.
Waterloo Police
July 18
David Isselhart of Freeburg, owner of DMI Plumbing, was cited for violating a city ordinance prohibiting tampering with city-operated gas metered at three residences – one in the 500 block of Benjamin Lane, one in the 800 block of Grand Prairie Drive and one in the 300 block of Kolmer Avenue.
