Columbia Police
June 18
Emergency personnel responded about 4:45 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of Ghent and Palmer roads near the ramp to Route 3/I-255. Those involved in the crash were Loretta Touchette, 82, of Columbia, driving a 2006 Buick, and Ephraim Caranzo, 37, of Missouri, driving a 2019 GMC Truck. Both were transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County.
June 24
Paige Cohlmeyer-Eads, 26, of Columbia, was arrested for domestic battery in the 1000 block of North Main Street.
July 1
Steffanie E. Begley, 34, of Waterloo, was arrested shortly after 1 a.m. for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage on Route 3 at Mark Drive.
Missouri Highway Patrol
June 19
A three-vehicle crash resulted in one local person injured. The crash occurred about 5:35 p.m. on I-55 northbound at Green Park in St. Louis County. A 2019 Honda CRV driven by a 16-year-old male from Millstadt stopped for traffic congestion, after which a 2024 Chevrolet Trax driven by Sydney D. Whittaker, 26, of Affton, Mo., slowed for traffic. The Chevy was struck in the rear by a 2019 Honda Fit driven by Lindsey E. McMenamin, 30, of St. Louis. This resulted in the Chevy striking the CRV in the rear. The juvenile driver was transported by Mehlville (Mo.) Fire Protection District ambulance to St. Louis Children’s Hospital for treatment of injuries listed as moderate on the crash report.
June 27
A 2018 Freightliner Cascadia driven by Daniel L. Griffin, 62, of Columbia, was involved in a five-vehicle crash at about 12:50 p.m. on I-70 at Route 67 in St. Louis County. It was struck by a 2008 Jeep Liberty driven by Maria K. Ingino, 60, of St. Louis, which had swerved to avoid an object in the roadway. Three of the drivers involved in this incident were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries. Griffin was not injured in the crash.
Monroe County Sheriff
June 26
Richard J. Sadowski, 54, of Belleville, was charged with battery (physical contact) in connection with an April 26 incident.
Waterloo Police

Evie L. Carlson, 20, of Columbia, was charged with unlawful consumption of liquor by a minor in connection with a May 8 incident at Uncle John’s RRR Bar, 141 S. Main Street.
