Columbia Police
March 19
Danisha D. McShan, 49, of Marion, was charged with felony retail theft (prior conviction) for allegedly stealing a Dewalt mini-tool kit from Ace Hardware, 229 N. Main Street, on Feb. 9. McShan was convicted of forgery in St. Clair County in 2004.
March 24
Raymond A. Frame Jr., 48, of Columbia, was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm.
Illinois State Police
March 26
Emergency personnel responded shortly before 11:40 a.m. to a two-vehicle crash on Route 158 at Limestone Lane between Columbia and Millstadt. There were no serious injuries reported as a result of the crash, but one person requested to be checked out by medical personnel. That person declined medical transport from the scene. There was lane blockage, resulting in traffic backed up in the area of the crash.

March 23
Shortly after 9:45 a.m., David A. Waln, 37, of Freeburg, was arrested on a St. Clair County traffic warrant. He was also cited for suspended registration, no insurance no registration. The incident occurred in the 300 block of East Washington Street.
Monroe County Sheriff
March 26
Deputies fielded multiple burglary to motor vehicle reports in the area of D Road and Country Lane, near Columbia. Police are asking those who live in that area who may have observed suspicious vehicles or activity, between 2-5 a.m., or those with video surveillance to call 618-939-8651 or email nsunderman@monroecountyil.gov.
Waterloo Police
March 6
Lee A. Kueker, 34, of Prairie du Rocher, was charged with driving while license suspended for DUI (second offense). The charges were dropped by the Monroe County State’s Attorney’s Office on March 26.
March 19
Timothy J. Cander Pluym, 38, of Waterloo, was charged with DUI, fleeing police, speeding (26-34 miles per hour over the limit) and resisting arrest. Pluym was stopped shortly before midnight on Route 3 at Illinois Avenue.
March 20
William C. Jenkins, 78, of Waterloo, was charged with DUI on Hamacher Street at Jefferson Drive. He was also charged with improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol (driver). Also on March 20, Jenkins was charged with domestic battery/bodily harm for allegedly punching a female victim in the face and pulling out “clumps” of her hair.
March 25
Thomas A. Prigge, 36, of Waterloo, was charged with theft/unauthorized control in connection with a Jan. 17 incident at Pound4Pound Fitness Center, 725 Station Crossing.
