Columbia Police
Dec. 19
Timothy D. Heuer, 45, of Granite City, was arrested on a Madison County warrant and for speeding and driving while license revoked on Route 3 at Carl Street.
Dec. 20
Willie E. Tucker III, 38, of Cahokia, was arrested on a Madison County warrant and for expired registration and driving while license suspended on I-255 at milepost 6.
Dec. 27
Emergency personnel responded shortly before 11 a.m. to a two-vehicle crash with injuries and entrapment on Route 3 at North Main Street. Police said a 2000 GMC driven by Mark Butler, 65, of Columbia, was attempting to turn left onto North Main Street from southbound Route 3 when it turned in front of a blue 2018 Ford Explorer driven by Joshua Ballou, 45, of Iowa, which was traveling north on Route 3. Police said Butler had a green light but not an arrow, so he was ticketed for failure to yield. Butler and a female passenger, 66-year-old Kathy Butler, were transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Ballou also went to Mercy South to get checked out following the crash. His passenger, a female, was not injured. The roadway was cleared by 11:45 a.m.
Monroe County Sheriff
Dec. 16
Lisa M. Hart, 33, of De Soto, Mo., was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon (vehicle, no FOID), that being an uncased and loaded Ruger .380.
Brian O. Zimmer, 42, of Festus, Mo., was charged with failure to register as a sex offender.
Dec. 19
Gregory N. Wilson Jr., 33, of St. Louis, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl).
Dec. 21
Emergency personnel responded shortly after 2:30 p.m. to a crash in the snow on Woodland Ridge near Bluff Road in Valmeyer. The adult driver of the vehicle and two young occupants were all transported to an area hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
Jennifer A. Tourville, 37, of Smithton, was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage on Monroe Street at Nike Street in Hecker.
Dec. 23
The Columbia Fire Department assisted police and EMS after a vehicle crashed into a residence at 429 Hillcastle Road south of Columbia shortly before 8:45 p.m. A fire official said the vehicle crashed into the front bay window of the home and that the roadway was “extremely slick” at the time due to snow and ice. The driver of the vehicle, a male, reported chest pains at the scene but declined medical transport. One person inside the home at the time of the crash was not injured.
Waterloo Police
Dec. 12
Jacob D. Posey, 18, of Waterloo, was issued a city ordinance violation for possession of an e-cigarette at Waterloo High School.
Dec. 14
Michael Stafford of Waterloo was issued a city ordinance violation for not having a permit for his deck at 135 Fairway Drive.
Dec. 21
The Waterloo police and fire departments and Monroe County EMS responded about 1:25 p.m. to a two-vehicle accident on southbound Route 3 near North Market Street in front of the State Bank North Pointe branch. A red 2010 Toyota Prius driven by Jason S. Devall, 47, of Waterloo, was crossing the southbound lanes of Route 3 with intent to travel north when it pulled in front of a 2014 Ford Escape driven by a 17-year-old Waterloo female, which was traveling south on Route 3. No medical transport was required as a result of the crash.
Britany B. Rodenberg, 29, of Waterloo, was charged with violating an order of protection following a Nov. 28 incident.
