Police blotter 10/8/14

Columbia Police

Oct. 1: William G. Anselman, 60, of Cedar Bluff, Va., was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving while suspended, driving below minimum speed limit and no registration light on I-255.

Oct. 3: Christopher J. Snedecker, 28, of Columbia, was arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis at 626 Metter Street.

Oct. 6: William J. Brown, 37, of St. Louis was arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe and driving while suspended on I-255.

Monroe County Sheriff

Sept. 26: The woman involved in a single-vehicle crash at 3229 Kaskaskia Road around noon was Kaytlin Patterson, 19, of Fults, who was driving a Chevrolet S10 pickup. She was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis for treatment.

Sept. 27: Timothy Owens of Marissa and Rochelle Schwankhaus of Okawville were injured shortly after 4:30 p.m. in a motorcycle crash in the 5200 area of Bluff Road near Outlet Road south of Valmeyer. Owens was airlifted to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Monroe County EMS transported Schwankhaus by ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis.

Sept. 29: Dennie Schmidt, 43, of Red Bud, was airlifted to Barnes-Jewish Hospital following a vehicle rollover around 2 a.m. in the area of 6343 MM Road east of Russell Drive. She was driving a 2008 Nissan.

The theft of a red 2013 Polaris 550 Sportsman ATV from the Wm. Nobbe dealership south of Waterloo is under investigation. Someone cut a hole in the fence and took the vehicle between 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 27 and 8:45 a.m. on Sept. 29. The ATV is valued at $8,700.

Jordan Carroll of Waterloo was arrested on an in-state warrant. Erin Hamilton of Waterloo was arrested on an in-state warrant.

Oct. 5: Jason Prange of Waterloo was arrested on an in-state warrant.

Waterloo Police

Sept. 22: Corey Williams, 20, of Waterloo, was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant and also for aggravated battery of a police officer and resisting arrest at 101 Debra Lane.

Oct. 3: Lucas M. Hoffman, 28, of Waterloo, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of a hypodermic syringe and no valid drivers license at 715 N. Market Street.Robert Bergman, 33, of Waterloo, was arrested for domestic battery in the 300 block of Grand Avenue.
